Grant Portfolio Increases Sharply at Highlands
LAS VEGAS, New Mexico, Nov. 4 (TNSRes) -- New Mexico Highlands University issued the following news:
New Mexico Highlands University's grant portfolio rose sharply this year, growing from approximately $27 million in total value in 2019 to approximately $41.5 million in 2020, the largest yearly increase in the last five years.
"We've seen a big shift in grants awarded to Highlands this year, a large uptick that doesn't have modern precedent at the university to my knowledge," said Ian Williams

New Los Alamos National Laboratory Spin-Off Aims to Put Nuclear Reactors in Space
LOS ALAMOS, New Mexico, Nov. 3 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory issued the following news release:
A new agreement hopes to speed along a nuclear reactor technology that could be used to fuel deep-space exploration and possibly power human habitats on the Moon or Mars. University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources Begins Phase 3 of CarbonSAFE Project
LARAMIE, Wyoming, Nov. 5 -- The University of Wyoming issued the following news release:
The School of Energy Resource's (SER) Center for Economic Geology Research (CEGR) at the University of Wyoming officially launched Phase 3 of the CarbonSAFE project last month.
