WASHINGTON, March 5 -- The Air Force Global Strike Command is seeking proposals for a critical upgrade and inspection of the lightning protection system (LPS) at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. This project involves enhancing the existing system by replacing frayed cables and upgrading the system cables to AWG 4/0 copper to ensure compliance with current safety standards. The work is essential for maintaining the facility's operational readiness and safeguarding against lightning strikes.
