U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks maintenance dredging at Absecon Inlet, NJ

WASHINGTON, March 3 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is seeking proposals for the Absecon Inlet (Clam Creek) Maintenance Dredging project. This initiative aims to maintain the federal channel by dredging to a depth of 14 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW), plus an additional foot for overdepth. The project will involve the removal of approximately 61,640 cubic yards of fine-sand and silty sediment, which will be beneficially placed at designated locations on Boot Island. . . .
