$25.5 Million Funding Available for All-Hazards Emergency Preparedness in FEMA Region 1
WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that it expects to award up to six discretionary grants for all-hazards emergency preparedness in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
The estimated total program funding available was cited as $25,504,551.
The funding is open to state or territorial governments; state administrative agencies; or the state emergency management agencies.

DOT Secretary Chao Announces $1.9 Million to 5 Airports in Vermont
WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration issued the following news release:
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation will award $1.9 million in airport safety and infrastructure grants to five airports in Vermont.
This investment in Vermont's airports is part of a $520.5 million national investment in America's airports that was announced by Secretary Chao.
