Rep. Cheney Introduces Bill to Establish Carbon Technologies Program
WASHINGTON, Jan. 30 -- Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5704) to amend the Energy Policy Act of 2005 "to require the Secretary of Energy to establish a carbon technologies program." The bill was introduced on Jan. 29 and was co-sponsored by Reps. David B. McKinley, R-W.Va., and Carol Miller, R-W.Va. It was referred to the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. Rep. Massie Introduces Bill to Reduce Minimum Age to Obtain Handgun From Federal Firearms Licensee
WASHINGTON, Feb. 1 -- Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5716) to "reduce, from 21 years of age to 18 years of age, the minimum age at which a person may obtain a handgun from a Federal firearms licensee." The bill was introduced on Jan. 30 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., Doug LaMalfa, R-Calif., and Alex X. Mooney, R-W.Va.
