WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 (TNSFR) -- Michigan State University has announced its intent to repatriate a preserved textile fragment that was removed from the Sumnerville Mound in Pokagon Township, Cass County, Michigan. WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 (TNSFR) -- Northwestern University has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects and determined a clear cultural affiliation with multiple Native American tribes. The remains, which include bones and fragments from 44 individuals, were excavated from the Fisher Mounds Site in Will County, Illinois, between 1912 and 1941.
