The last defendant of the six La Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang members who were convicted at two separate federal trials was sentenced today. The six defendants were sentenced for racketeering conspiracy, narcotics conspiracy, and offenses related to the murders of four men in 2019.

W.Va. U.S. Attorney: Huntington Man Sentenced to Prison for Fentanyl Crime
HUNTINGTON, West Virginia, June 19 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia issued the following news release on June 18, 2024:
Melvin Pearson Jones, 40, of Huntington, was sentenced today to six months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for distribution of fentanyl.
