HUNTINGTON, West Virginia, June 19 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia issued the following news release on June 18, 2024:
Melvin Pearson Jones, 40, of Huntington, was sentenced today to six months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for distribution of fentanyl.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on August 3, 2023, Jones sold a quantity of fentanyl to a confidential informant . . .
