NASS - NW Regional Field Office: U.S. Sweet Cherry Production Forecast Up 60 Percent From Last Year
OLYMPIA, Washington, June 10 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Northwest Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
United States sweet cherry total production for 2023 is forecast at 371,000 tons, up 60 percent from 2022. In Washington, the largest producing State, total production for 2023 is forecast at 240,000 tons, up 66 percent from 2022. In Oregon, total production for 2023 is forecast at 51,000 tons, up 59 percent from 2022.

NASS - NW Regional Field Office: Winter Wheat Production in Northwest Region Down Slightly From May Forecast
OLYMPIA, Washington, June 10 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Northwest Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
Based on June 1, 2023 conditions, Idaho winter wheat production is forecast at 60.9 million bushels, down 5 percent from last year. Harvested area, at 700,000 acres, is down 10,000 acres from 2022. Yield is expected to average 87.0 bushels per acre, unchanged from the May 1 forecast but down 3.0 bushels from last year.
