NASS - NW Regional Field Office: 2022 Northwest Region Honey Production Up 2 Percent From 2021
OLYMPIA, Washington, March 18 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Northwest Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
Idaho's 2022 honey production, at 2.73 million pounds, was 9 percent lower than 2021. There were 94,000 honey producing colonies, 6,000 lower than the previous year. The yield per colony averaged 29.0 pounds compared with 30.0 pounds per colony in 2021. Idaho's value of honey production, at $7.25 million, was 4 percen
