South Korean Inventors Develop Hard Disk Drive Seek Control Method

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 2 -- Jung-ho Lee, Da-woon Chung, Dong-wook Lee and Byoung-kul Ji, all from Suwon-si, South Korea, have developed a seek control method for hard disk drive.

According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a hard disk drive performing a seek control method using a multi-sinusoidal wave acceleration profile, where the seek control method is capable of coping with a variation in a voice coil motor drivin . . .
