ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- The U.S. Department of Energy has been assigned a patent (9,461,191) developed by four co-inventors for the "mercapto-based coupling agent for improved thermophotovoltaic device back surface reflector adhesion and reflectance." The co-inventors are Bernard Wernsman, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, Joseph N. Fiedor, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, Lawrence G. Irr, Trafford, Pennsylvania, and Marc N. Palmisiano, Pittsburgh.
