WASHINGTON, April 23 -- The National Transportation Safety Board issued the following closing statement by Chairman Robert L. Sumwalt at a board meeting on gas pipeline explosion in Silver Spring on Aug. 10, 2016:
"In closing, I would like to thank the staff for your hard work. I also want to thank my colleagues for their preparation going into the board meeting, and for the good debate and discussion.
