WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 -- The National Transportation Safety Board issued the following news release:
The National Transportation Safety Board announced Tuesday its intention to hold a board meeting, March 12, 2019, 9:30 a.m. (EST), to determine the probable cause of the Aug. 10, 2016, natural gas explosion and fire in Silver Spring, Maryland.
The accident killed seven people, 65 civilians were transported to area hospitals and three firefighters suffered minor injuries.
