WASHINGTON, Dec. 14 -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued the following news release:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Phillip Smagacz as the new resident inspector at the Braidwood nuclear power plant. The dual-unit plant is located in Braceville, Ill., approximately 20 miles southwest of Joliet and is operated by Exelon Generation Co.
Smagacz joined the NRC in 2008 as a reactor engineer in Region III. He has also served as the NRC resident ins . . .
