WASHINGTON, April 19 -- The Americans for Financial Reform issued the following statement by Policy Director Marcus Stanley on the Securities and Exchange Commission proposal on broker standards:
"What we need is a straightforward, enforceable rule that would clearly require brokers to act in their clients' best interests when giving advice.
