COLUMBIA, South Carolina, Dec. 14 -- South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson issued the following news release:
Attorney General Alan Wilson has announced a $586 million dollar settlement with Colorado-based The Western Union Company "Western Union". The settlement resolves a multistate investigation which focused on complaints of consumers who used Western Union's wire transfer service to send money to third parties involved in schemes to defraud consumers.
