WASHINGTON, D.C. - Reestablishing merit-based hiring at all federal agencies is the goal of legislation cosponsored by U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) to codify President Trump's Executive Order to end discriminatory hiring practices in the federal government.
