WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 -- AT&T, an incumbent local exchange carrier (LEC), has filed a certification with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to retire copper network facilities in Gallatin, Tennessee.
The retirement is in response to a joint road construction project planned by the City of Gallatin and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
AT&T says they will migrate customers currently served on the affected copper facilities to existing Giga . . .
