RALEIGH, North Carolina, Jan. 15 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina issued the following news release on Jan. 14, 2025:
Barry Darnell White, 63, pled guilty today to knowingly discharging tert-Butyl alcohol and other pollutants into the Cape Fear River in violation of the federal Clean Water Act. White did so while employed by American Distillation, Inc., a chemical processing company located in Navassa, outside of Wilmington.
