BLACKSBURG, Virginia, Dec. 17 -- Virginia Tech issued the following news:

Wolter "Wolt" J. Fabrycky, an esteemed researcher, professor, and pioneer in the field of systems engineering, passed away in Blacksburg on Nov. 6. He was 91 years old.

Fabrycky graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering in 1957 and went on to earn a master's degree in 1958 from the University of Arkansas. In 1962, he earned his Ph.D. from . . .
