WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 -- The Center for Biological Diversity issued the following news release on Dec. 12, 2024:
The Center for Biological Diversity today sued the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for denying Endangered Species Act protection for the striped newt in 2018. The rare newt lives in Florida and Georgia.
