SILVER SPRING, Maryland, Dec. 3 -- The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition issued the following news:
To support supply during the current IV fluid shortage, the FDA has temporarily authorized international products for importation. One of these products is Glucose 50% Injection, to be used in place of Dextrose Injection USP. Not all facilities will receive the Glucose 50% Injection product, though many will to meet their dextrose allocation.
