WASHINGTON, Nov. 22 -- Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Michigan, issued the following news release on Nov. 21, 2024:
Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) voted today to pass H.R. 9495, the Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act. The legislation would end tax exemptions for non-profits who are materially supporting terrorist groups and halt tax penalties on Americans held hostage overseas.
