JACKSON, Mississippi, Nov. 13 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi issued the following news release on Nov. 12, 2024:

On Friday, November 8, 2024, A federal jury convicted Marshand Crisler, a former Hinds County, Mississippi Sheriff, on both counts of an indictment charging him with soliciting and accepting $9,500 in bribes and for knowingly providing ammunition to a convicted felon.
