WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations issued the following news release on Nov. 7, 2024:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed a hate crime charge brought against a man who allegedly assaulted a woman at a sporting goods store in North Carolina.
Joshua Smith, 37, was charged with assault by pointing a gun, assault on a female, second-degree trespassin . . .
