WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 -- The Environmental Protection Agency issued the following news release:
CHICAGO (October 22, 2024) - Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency began removing lead-contaminated soil at the former Sandusky Chicago Abrasive Wheel Company, Inc. site, at 1100 W. Barker Ave. in Michigan City, Indiana. EPA anticipates the cleanup will take 2-4 months to complete and short-term road closures near the site may be necessary.
Cleanup crews will spray water . . .
