Fla. U.S. Attorney: Florida Woman Pleads Guilty to Conspiring to Prepare Fraudulent Loan Applications Totaling More Than $400,000

MIAMI, Florida, Oct. 17 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Markenzy Lapointe, issued the following news release:

On Oct. 15, Lakeisha Black a/k/a/ "Lakeisha Pierce," pled guilty in federal court in Fort Lauderdale to conspiracy to make false statements to the Small Business Administration in connection with myriad fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans.

From July 2020 through June 2021, Black charged between $2,000 and $6,00 . . .
