WASHINGTON, Oct. 9 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
Senator Sherrod Brown announced that East Palestine residents who received reimbursements from Norfolk Southern in the aftermath of the February 3, 2023 train derailment will be able to take advantage of a free, one-day tax clinic where Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Certified Volunteers will help residents complete amended returns so that they don't pay taxes on their reimbursements.
