ST. LOUIS, Missouri, Oct. 5 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri issued the following news release on Oct. 3, 2024:

U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel on Thursday sentenced a woman from St. Louis County to five years of probation and ordered her to pay $279,201 in restitution for fraudulently obtaining loans that were supposed to go to struggling businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
