ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. To celebrate Latina Equal Pay Day today, U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.) introduced a Senate resolution recognizing October 3, 2024, as Latina Equal Pay Day.
More than 50 years after the passage of the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Latinas make up the second largest group of women workers in the U.S--yet they are paid 57 cents for ever . . .
