MEMPHIS, Tennessee, Oct. 2 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee issued the following news release:
Five former IRS employees were recently sentenced for defrauding federal COVID-19 relief programs. This case was brought as a part of an interagency effort to combat and prevent such fraud by federal employees.
