WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 -- The Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association issued the following statement on Sept. 28, 2024:

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced he vetoed Assembly Bill 2286, a bill that would effectively ban autonomous trucks. See below for a statement from Jeff Farrah, CEO of the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association:
