WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Rep. Greg Pence, R-Indiana, issued the following news release on Sept. 24, 2024:
U.S. Congressman Greg Pence (R-IN) today offered the following remarks on the House floor in remembrance of the 241 servicemembers who lost their lives in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks. Congressman Pence served in the Marine Corps from 1979-1983, and his battalion was stationed in Beirut that year, shipping out just days before the bombings.
