CHICAGO, Illinois, Sept. 24 -- Chicago Teachers Union issued the following news release on Sept. 23, 2024:

The Chicago Teachers Union's (CTU) elected governing body last Wednesday night issued a resounding, unanimous vote of NO CONFIDENCE in CPS CEO Pedro Martinez in light of his failures to urgently address the needs confronting the district and embark on the transformation of our schools for which the people of Chicago voted.
