WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 -- The U.S. Department of Justice issued the following news release on Sept. 19, 2024:
The Justice Department announced today that it has opened a civil pattern or practice investigation into Rankin County, Mississippi, and the Rankin County Sheriff's Department (RCSD).
