WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 -- Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
On Thursday, Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) and Representative Mary Miller (IL-15) led a group of 22 Republican lawmakers in calling on Speaker Mike Johnson to oppose any addition of the female draft in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2024 (NDAA).
The Representatives wrote in a letter, "Forcing young women to register for the selective service is an affront to our nation' . . .
