WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 -- Sen. Jack Reed, D-Rhode Island, issued the following news release:
In an effort to raise awareness about the importance of literacy, boost literacy support programs, and encourage more Americans of all ages to read, U.S. Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) are teaming up on a bipartisan resolution to designate September 2024 as "National Literacy Month."
The measure is being cosponsored by U.S. Senators Chris Van Ho . . .
