Today, a minority of Senators blocked passage of the bipartisan Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024 (H.R. 7024), which would have expanded the Child Tax Credit and benefitted 16 million children in low-income families in the first year, including one in three Black and Latino children and three in 10 American Indian/Alaska Native children.
