WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Rep. Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, chairman of the House Budget Committee, issued the following news release on July 31, 2024:
Today, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve's (Fed) committee that decides the future path of interest rates, announced that there will be no immediate change to interest rates, leaving rates at a 23-year high.
