WASHINGTON, July 31 -- Rep. Eric Sorensen, D-Illinois, issued the following news release:
ROCK ISLAND, IL Today, Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) released the following statement in response to news that John Deere will lay off workers in the Quad Cities area.
"The decision to lay off employees from John Deere is a punch in the gut to my friends and neighbors here in the Quad Cities," said Sorensen. "My heart goes out to everyone impacted by these layoff . . .
