Calif. U.S. Attorney: Bakersfield Residents Plead Guilty to Drug Trafficking Offenses and One Pleads Guilty to a Violation of the Animal Welfare Act

FRESNO, California, July 29 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California issued the following news release:

Two Bakersfield residents pleaded guilty today, U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert announced.

Jorge Calderon-Campos, 43, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and heroin and also pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of animals for an animal fighting venture in violation of the Animal Welfare Act.
