WASHINGTON, July 29 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas-13) introduced the Wildfire Victim Tax Relief and Recovery Act to provide tax relief for victims of this year's Panhandle wildfires. The bill provides tax relief for Panhandle residents who suffered significant losses when this wildfire burned more than 1.2 million acres, destroyed homes, and killed over 12,000 head of cattle.
