CHICAGO The American Medical Association (AMA) today announced an editorial update to Current Procedural Terminology (CPT(r)), the leading medical terminology code set for describing health care procedures and services, that includes a newly assigned provisional CPT code for vaccines to protect patients against the H5N8 strain of avian influenza (bird flu).
