NEW YORK, July 9 -- Citi, a banking partner for institutions with cross-border needs and wealth management and a personal bank, issued the following news release on July 8, 2024:

New York and Haiti -- Citi announced today that it will cease its operations in Haiti and pursue the voluntary surrender of its banking license, with the approval of Banque de la Republique d'Haiti (BRH). However, international banking and correspondent banking services will continue for existing clients.
