CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, July 2 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas issued the following news release:
A 46-year-old Aransas Pass resident has been taken into federal custody for smuggling merchandise into the United States and illegal transfer of merchandise, announced U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani.
Jennifer Mayo turned herself in to authorities June 27. She is expected to make her initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Julie . . .
