Steel Calls for Accountability for Religious Freedom Violations in Vietnam

WASHINGTON, June 11 -- Rep. Michelle Steel, R-California, issued the following news release:
With increasing religious persecution by the Communist Party of Vietnam, Rep. Michelle Steel (CA-45) is again calling on Secretary of State Antony Blinken to designate Vietnam as a Country of Particular Concern. The designation is reserved for nations with severe violations of religious freedom covered by the International Religious Freedom Act (IRFA) and could lead to economic sanctions.
