SAVANNAH, Georgia, June 5 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Savannah District issued the following news release:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sent a support team to assist the City of Atlanta in dealing with the next steps of the water crisis in Atlanta, June 4, 2024.
On Friday, May 31, 2024, multiple main water pipes began leaking in Atlanta. City Mayor Andre Dinkins requested assistance from the Corps.
