AUSTIN, Texas, June 1 -- LatinoJustice PRLDEF issued the following news release on May 31, 2024:
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced a plan to partner with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to increase criminal prosecutions at the border pursuant to Sections 1325 and 1326 of Chapter 8 of the U.S. Code. In addition, they are also planning to provide increased resources to border districts, and to U.S. Attorneys' Offices.
