BLM: Department of the Interior Safeguards Guadalupe Cave Resource Protection Area

CARLSBAD, New Mexico, May 23 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management issued the following news release on May 22, 2024:

The Bureau of Land Management today announced a Public Land Order to protect 28,513 acres of U.S. Department of Agriculture National Forest System lands at the Guadalupe Cave Resource Protection Area in Lincoln National Forest. The Guadalupe Caves were originally withdrawn from mining and mineral leasing for 20 years in 2001.
